Alex Seefried is a Director and Director of Photography based in New York. His work spans branded content, narrative film, documentary, and music videos, each grounded in strong visual storytelling and emotional authenticity.
Currently, Alex serves as an in-house Director and DP at D’Addario, a global leader in musical accessories, where he leads video production across the brand’s platforms. His work includes product demos, ad campaigns, branded documentaries, and social media films, collaborating closely with artists and engineers to capture the craft and creativity at the heart of music.
Alongside his work at D’Addario, Alex runs a boutique production studio focused on short films and music videos, overseeing every stage of production, from concept development and casting to cinematography, editing, color, and visual effects. His hands-on approach and attention to detail ensure that each project maintains a consistent creative vision from the first sketch to the final frame.
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan with a BFA in Film and Video and a concentration in Cinematography, Alex combines artistic vision with deep technical fluency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite, and Logic Pro. His work has taken him across the U.S. and abroad, building lasting collaborations and continually refining his craft.
Whether leading a full production team or working independently, Alex strives to create cinematic stories that resonate, pairing technical precision with emotional storytelling to bring ideas vividly to life.
